ABOUT
The Practice was set up in August 1987 by Syd and Agnes Jones.
Syd had worked for the Inland Revenue for 30 years and was a Tax Inspector dealing with Accounts Investigations. Agnes had also worked for HM Revenue and Customs
Initially, we specialised in providing Tax Consultancy services to other Accountancy Practices however it soon became necessary to reduce this type of work because of the increase in the Practice's own clients.
We are very much a family business and in 1991 as the business continued to grow our youngest daughter Margaret joined the practice from a banking and finance background.
She subsequently obtained MAAT and ATT qualifications.
It became necessary to take on more staff in 2005 and so our eldest daughter Mary started with us having previously worked in the Insurance sector.

Founder and Principal
Syd was previously an Inspector of Taxes after passing the Inland Revenue’s examinations in bookkeeping, accounts preparation and Tax Caselaw.
His taxation knowledge has proved invaluable both in the practice and to other accountants, particularly in light of the fact that his career as an Inspector with the Civil Service mainly involved accounts investigation work.

Specialist Advice
Initially Margaret chose a career in banking and finance but then joined the practice, obtained the qualifications shown and possesses an excellent all round knowledge of accountancy and taxation.
Mary Clinton
Payroll & Pensions
Mary was employed in insurance but came into the practice on a part-time basis for a short period before becoming full-time.
She handles the payroll and pensions side of the business as well as doing accountancy work.
